THIS MONTH IN FOCUS

Perspective, Places & Visual Stories

This month is all about seeing stories from different perspectives.

From capturing the details that make food and products stand out to documenting commercial spaces, construction projects, and industrial environments, photography has the ability to show not only what something looks like, but also the craftsmanship, people, and ideas behind it.

In this edition, I’m sharing a drone flight over historic Cape Charles, Virginia, a look inside an impressive commercial remodel by OneSpace Architects, and recent photography and video work that showcases how ongoing photography and drone imagery can document the evolution of a construction project.

I’m also sharing a moment of reflection from the 9/11 World Trade Center Memorial Monument in New York City, a reminder that photography can preserve not only places and projects, but also memories and moments that carry a much deeper meaning.

As always, thank you for following along and supporting my work. I hope you enjoy this month’s stories, projects, and perspectives.

From Local Honey to Brand Storytelling

When Your Neighbor Is a Beekeeper, Life Is Really Sweet

Sometimes inspiration for a photography project is right next door.

My goal with Brand and Food Photography isn't simply to make food look appetizing.

Whether you're launching a new restaurant, refreshing a menu, introducing a packaged product, developing an advertising campaign, or simply realizing that your current photography no longer represents the quality of what you offer, professional imagery can change the way customers experience your brand.

Cape Charles, Virginia From Above

There’s something special about seeing a familiar place from a completely different perspective. I recently had the opportunity to fly the drone over historic downtown Cape Charles, Virginia, one of my favorite places to visit on Virginia’s Eastern Shore.

From the historic streets and architecture to the surrounding waterfront, the aerial perspective offers a unique look at the character that makes Cape Charles such a memorable destination.

Take a quick flight over Cape Charles with me.

Keeping Your Construction Project
Visible at Every Stage

A construction project can change dramatically from one week to the next. What begins as a cleared site and foundation gradually becomes a structure, then a finished property ready for owners, tenants, customers, or the community.

Those changes are worth documenting.

As a Norfolk commercial photographer and licensed FAA Part 107 drone pilot, I work with builders, general contractors, developers, architects, and construction companies to create professional construction progress photography throughout the life of a project.

A Look Inside an
Incredible Commercial Remodel

I recently had the opportunity to attend another Campbell Commercial Coffee and tour an impressive remodeled commercial space designed by the talented team at OneSpace Architects.

It was a great chance to experience the transformation firsthand and see how thoughtful architecture and design can completely reshape a space. Thank you toNicole Campbell for the invitation and opportunity to take a closer look.

Remembering September 11

On September 11, I shared a moment of remembrance from the 9/11 World Trade Center Memorial Monument in New York City.

The memorial is a powerful reminder of the lives lost, the families forever changed, the courage of first responders, and the unity Americans showed in the days that followed.

As we remember September 11, we honor those we lost and the resilience, compassion, and strength that emerged from one of our nation’s darkest days.

Anchored In Love: Shower Operation

It is always an honor to photograph events that have a meaningful impact on military families.

I recently had the privilege of capturing Operation Shower’s “Anchored in Love” event supporting families of the USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77). From the nautical details and beautifully decorated spaces to the families being celebrated, it was a special event filled with appreciation, connection, and support.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to help document these moments and the work Operation Shower does to celebrate and support military families.
